My name is Eric Shorten, and I am the founder of Shorten Planning & Design Consultants. I am a qualified Architectural Technologist, having graduated from Munster Technological University with an Honours Degree in Architectural Technology. I am also a QQI-accredited Site Suitability Assessor, enabling me to provide professional percolation testing and site suitability assessments.

Before establishing my own practice, I gained over four years of valuable experience working with a reputable architectural firm, where I was involved in a wide range of residential and commercial projects. This experience provided me with a strong foundation in planning, design, technical detailing, and delivering practical solutions tailored to each client's needs.

Following this, I took the opportunity to travel the world for six months, an experience that broadened my perspective, strengthened my problem-solving skills, and reinforced my ambition to establish my own consultancy.

Today, Shorten Planning & Design Consultants was founded with a commitment to providing a personal, reliable, and professional service. I take great pride in working closely with every client, giving each project the attention it deserves from the initial consultation through to completion. My aim is to deliver thoughtful designs, clear communication, and expert guidance, ensuring every project is completed to the highest standard while making the planning and design process as straightforward and stress-free as possible.
